Markets:
Stock futures are near flat Friday following a winning session that sent indexes to new records as the Federal Reserve’s decision to cut interest rates set in investors’ minds.
The three major averages closed at all-time highs and notched fresh intraday records on Thursday. Notably, the small cap-focused Russell 2000 surged 2.5%, ending the session at a record for the first time since 2021.
Thursday’s moves come a day after the Fed cut interest rates for the first time this year. Stocks had a volatile session on Wednesday as investors initially reacted to the central bank’s decision and its economic projections.
There are no economic reports or major earnings reports scheduled for Friday.
Portfolio:
What a week, what a month, what a runway Q4 will provide. Remember, they tried to tell us to sell in August and then again in September. This disbelief in this rally continues to fuel it. The chase for performance has yet to begin. That will be the next stage we will plan for in Q4.
Today is OPEX. We started to see swings yesterday afternoon in preparation for today. Be patient. We might wait until Monday for new trades, we shall see but OPEX has become wild sessions at times due to the number of options in play now. Over the last year we have seen pretty big swings just please keep that in mind.
NOw with the stated, so many names have beautiful bull flags forming and also super coiled. Be interesting to see how this plays out early next week with new positions emerging. Here's a few beauties to look at; ES super coiled. ETH super coiled.
We enter the session with positions in QBTS, PONY, CIFR, and ONDS. Please stay patient today, cannot express that enough. Let's end the week strong!
