Markets:

U.S. stock futures were little changed Tuesday after the major averages climbed on rising hopes that President Donald Trump will curtail his initial plans for broad-ranging tariffs. Investors also awaited consumer confidence figures that could sway the market later in the session.

The Conference Board’s consumer confidence index reading is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET. Economists polled by Dow Jones expect a print of 93.5, down from 98.3 in February.

Wall Street remains on edge over a potential uptick in inflation and slowing economic growth as it awaits reciprocal tariffs from the Trump administration on April 2. During Monday’s session, traders grew optimistic on news that the White House may narrow the scope of tariffs going into effect, according to reports from The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg News.

Portfolio:

Strong day yesterday and as we mentioned last week we felt a different type of price action asserting itself and 550 remains a hard line on SPY. We now have bounced with force and argument can be made we are building to a much larger move to the upside and possible new highs for this market into the summer time? That argument cannot be ignored as technicians see that building technically and strong patterns suggesting such a move forming. Everything is still on the table. We now want to see QQQ regain 495 and hold it. SPY above 577 / 578 is a monster signal. Induvial names and igniting with so many igniting from a strong base or now heading into gap zones. Hope we see follow through today as it can truly ignite next round.

We enter the session holding positions in MVIS and METU. Queue is igniting and we will be looking to possibly add today so please be on high alert.
