Markets:
Stock futures were little changed on Wednesday as investors awaited January’s consumer inflation report.
The consumer price index report is set for release at 8:30 a.m. ET. Headline inflation is expected to have grown 0.3% from the prior month and 2.9% from 12 months earlier, according to Dow Jones.
In addition to Wednesday’s CPI report, investors will watch testimony from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell’s before the House Committee on Financial Services. Powell testified Tuesday to the Senate Banking Committee that policymakers were in no hurry to make further interest rate cuts.
Asia-Pacific markets mostly rose Wednesday as investors digested U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff impact on regional economies.
Portfolio:
We enter todays session holding setups in APPS, SOXL, ASAN, and S. Yesterday Bulls had a bull gap up and the bears were not able to fill it even though they defended the 605.5 level. QQ continues to build and we are seeing a massive runway should it a clear a few more hurdles. We continue to watch flow and trend lines and CPI will tell the story today and provide the narrative. Pretty straight forward and we keep it simple here. Please be ready, the next stage is almost there.
